Location: Lewisville, Texas

 

Our Exciting Opportunity:
We are on a journey towards building the future of wireless connectivity, and we want you on our team! As a part of establishing a new 5G Smart Factory in the U.S., we are now recruiting for a SMA (Surface Mount Assembly) Process Engineer. This individual will develop, implement, and maintain cost efficient SMA processes. Key aspects of the role are to ensure the site has a state-of-the-art SMA process and ensure the equipment is accurately maintained. The chosen candidate will support both volume production as well as New Product Introduction (NPI) and inbound/outbound transfer of production.

 

You will:
• Participate in the start-up of a brand-new Smart Factory producing 5G radio network products
• Get to work with outstanding local and global teams
• Develop the SMA (Surface Mounting Assembly) process to launch new products and take part in pre-studies, pre-development activities and global SMA technology forums
• Investigate and resolve process issues related to all aspects of SMA operations including Solder Paste Printing, Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Placement, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Reflow, and Post-SMA processes
• Drive quality and efficiency improvements for all SMA operations by identifying root cause of occurring defects and implement robust corrective action

 

To be successful in the role, you must have:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Chemistry, Mechanical engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in SMA (Surface Mount Assembly) engineering and more specifically in the area of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
• Knowledge about DFM (Design for Manufacturing) process
• Deep production technology knowledge
• Experience with training production personnel
• Critical thinking, innovative ideas and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interface optimally with management and colleagues
• Ability to travel internationally to participate in global programs

 

You might also have:
• Understanding Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis concepts
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt
