The Partnerships team within the North America Strategy and Commercial Management Organization provides strategic support to external partner firms and drives ecosystem, new offering and GTM alliances working with the customer units and business domain teams in North America. The team is at the forefront of industry trends and is expected to proactively identify how industry dynamics and external trends impact how we execute our strategic business plan. 

This role is uniquely positioned to transform the way that Ericsson does business by helping to solve problems and drive profitable growth through partnerships within the Market Area. We put the customer at the heart of everything we do, to understand their challenges and opportunities and become a trusted partner to our different stakeholder groups. 


Our Exciting Opportunity:

We are now looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager focusing primarily on business development across networks, digital business, managed services and emerging business. This individual will work on identifying potential partnership, GTM and business models aligned with Ericsson’s growth strategy in North America. The individual will Participate in direct strategic dialogues at the highest levels, providing experience & knowledge of information & communication technology trends, business models in combination with Ericsson technology & offerings. Must be a hands-on generalist with domain expertise in ICT, craft value propositions, GTM and business models working with partners. Experience in investment, joint venture transactions will be helpful but not mandatory. The person needs to have a can-do attitude to work in clarifying ambiguous situations and putting “pen to paper” and driving value.


 You Have:

  • Ability to create collateral and value proposition for new solutions/GTM.
  • Experience in creating strategic partnerships including working external with potential partners
  • Expert level technology business modeling experience
  • The ability to understand partner and start-up ecosystem technologies and then create markets and routes for successful new business growth
  • Extensive understanding of Ericsson Products & services portfolio including Ericsson 4G and 5G RAN Product Portfolio and roadmap, Ecosystem for IOT, ML, AI, and service automation, security, SDWAN, OSS/BSS.
  • Understand and craft statements of work and contractual terms and conditions.
  • The ability to provide income statement analysis to develop appropriate valuations and to develop business cases for M&A and Investments based on potential partnership pipeline
  • The ability to excel at stakeholder management and problem solving (internally and externally)
  • Customer contract development, creating strong positive business impact for both our customers and Ericsson
  • The ability to work across multiple stakeholders both local and global
  • Knowledge in forefront technologies such as AI, Data Analytics and Cloud
  • The ability to write succinct statements and opinions on external firms in natural language


You Might Also Have:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of ICT business experience preferred
  • Graduate Degree {MBA preferred}
  • Applied understanding of ICT
  • Experience in business modeling working with excel, PowerPoint and word.
  • Familiarity with Pitchbook and competitive intelligence tools
  • Develop and execute project and program plans
  • Program management and the ability to drive alignment and closure
  • Takes ownership, drives closure and is comfortable with ambiguity in solving problems
  • Experience defining New Business Models
  • Out of the box thinker
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking and communication skills


Your ability to enable teamwork and collaboration will be needed.  This role will require up to 50% travel.
