Our Exciting Opportunity:
Our Smart Factory in Lewisville, TX is looking for a Production & Enterprise IT Engineer to support our 2nd Shift. In this role, you will hands on deliver end to end IT services within the production facility.
You will plan and operate the software and hardware solutions for the internal Ericsson users. And ensure a stable environment and optimize the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner.
The Smart Factory will be the first greenfield 5G factory in the US and will serve as a showcase for the next generation technology that will craft future ways of working.
Ericsson’s 5G industrial solutions include automated warehouses, connected logistics, automated assembly, packing and product handling, and the use of autonomous carts.
• Manage information technology and computer systems.
• Identify and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems and identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Running regular checks on network and data security and handling all security related matters and programs via governance in line with group directives.
• Supporting all activity for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
• Working with Suppliers to ensure efficiency for services delivered to Ericsson.
To be successful in the role, you must have:
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or other similar degree field with 5-10 years working at an IT technical resource.
• Able to work 2nd Shift hours.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Expertise in data center management and data governance, knowledge of standard (SOX, ISO).
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto) and network installation (within Manufacturing a bonus).
• Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira, Remedy or Service Now.
• Use of tools such as Office 365, MS Teams or Skype.
• Ability to travel 25%.
