We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to work on implementing Smart Manufacturing use cases in our Lewisville, TX Production Site. This will include all development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, hardware design, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile methods in multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement and innovation is part of the daily work.
The Smart Factory will be the first greenfield 5G factory in the US and will serve as a showcase for the next generation technology that will craft future ways of working. Ericsson’s 5G industrial solutions include automated warehouses, connected logistics, automated assembly, packing and product handling, and the use of autonomous carts.
• Perform continuous analysis with an outstanding local and global teams to build industrial & cloud based systems and solution in consultation with external and internal partners
• Design, develop and test high quality products
• Have the ability to influence and drive exciting, meaningful product development
To be successful in the role, you must have:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related fields and minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in software or automation design and development
• Experience in any of the following programming languages: C#, Python, Java or .Net
• Hands-on experience with Agile development methodology. Use of Agile tools such as JIRA
• Experience with implementing application and demonstrating appropriate technology and communication protocol stacks
You might also have:
• Knowledge of industry 4.0 landscape and IIoT solutions.
• Experience with industrial robots, controllers and real-time control network
• Experience in data science and machine learning models.
