We at Ericsson Packet Core (PC) in Lindholmen are now looking for talented system test developers wanting to join our product development. Our headquarters is based in Lindholmen (Gothenburg, Sweden), but we also have operations in Shanghai and Madrid as well as strong dependencies to platform development in Budapest, Beijing and Bangalore. 

In the Packet Core organization testing is done both by the cross-functional development teams, as well as dedicated teams performing extensive regression verification and system level testing. To be able to execute testing efficiently we strive for a high degree of automation in out test environment for most of the test execution and parts of the analysis of test results. This enables fast feedback loops. The new generation of our 5G products execute in a cloud-based environment so if you do not already have knowledge about cloud and virtualization you will be able to learn!

We are now looking for skilled, self-motivated and service-minded Test Developers to join our teams.

About the role

We have test teams in several places in the world among them Lindholmen, Shanghai and Chennai. There is a high degree of autonomy in each team, but also cross-site collaboration. You will be part of one of our teams in Lindholmen where you will design, develop, implement, execute and evaluate test cases. Perform troubleshooting and problem solving of complex products. Continuously seek new areas of improvements in the system test discipline. Develop and implement test cases in our Java-based framework.



Core competencies

  • To understand our product, it is essential to comprehend IP protocols and IP-based routing in an embedded environment, 3GPP standards, and UNIX/LINUX
  • To be an excellent tester you should understand Test Methodology and Test Automation
  • To understand our test scripts and verdict system, you should know Python/Java
  • Git knowledge is an advantage


Minimum Experience Requirements

  • BSc/MSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
