Job Description

If you enjoy working with global packaging development in a creative and complex corporate area, this is the job for you. 

 

You will join the Packaging Material Development unit. Ericsson consider the packaging solution as an integrated part of our products and our team is overall responsible for the development of all packaging material solutions (boxes, pallets, fitments, etc.) for all Ericsson products. As part of our team, you will work in with packaging material domain, thinking modularity, cost efficiency, usability and branding to ensure the optimal packaging solution to enhance the competitive advantage for Ericsson.

 

As a packaging engineer, you will develop different packaging solution for different product development projects. You will be responsible to secure that the packaging solution meets the packaging requirements, fulfils the project needs and is delivered on time. To support you in this challenge you have a team with 10+ dedicated and competent packaging engineers, worldwide. Right now, your network is located in 13 countries. 

 

You will also work in close cooperation with our external packaging design partners and suppliers. They will do the actual design drawings and propose different design proposals and you will ensure that the most optimal solution is selected, verified and implemented. 

 

Apart from the development projects, you will also participate in various internal packaging projects and improvement. As corporate responsible for the packaging domain we evaluate future packaging materials and solutions and set the standards for the future. We continuously improve tools and processes and we maintain our product portfolio with cost and quality focus.   

 

You have a creative mind and a good sense of humor. You see the big picture and enjoy analyzing data from a performance and risk perspective to find the efficiency potential. Your mindset is to have control over your work, achieve the goals and cooperate with all your internal customers to keep them satisfied. You work in a structured way and you are the driving force personified, enjoying the challenge of pushing for result.

 

Requirements:

  • Academic degree in packaging engineering
  • Working experience from similar position
  • Experience from verification of packaging solutions
  • Knowledge from packaging system design and requirement handling
  • Good ability to handle several projects in parallel
  • Good skills and experience from networking and sharing knowledge and information 
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good planning and structuring capabilities
