In Access Services, we provide subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing (closed captions), sign language translation and audio description to fulfil the regulatory requirements of broadcasters and content owners around the world. We provide over 230,000 hours of captioning each year – more than 100,000 hours of which is live. We are the largest global supplier of audio description by volume and deliver more than 2,500 hours of sign language translation per year, including live news. Our UK clients include the BBC, BT Sport, Channel 4, Channel 5 and UKTV

As the Resources Assistant, you will report directly to the Global Capacity and Scheduling Manager for Access Service. You will liaise with Access Services teams and Human Resources in order to comply with Health & Safety/working time rules/directives. You will work closely with Schedulers and Managers within Operations, the Global Capacity & Scheduling Manager, Resources Co-ordinators, third party suppliers, Duty Managers and Production staff.
- You will create and maintain rotas for Access Services production and support teams, responding to queries as necessary.
- You will be responsible for managing the workflow for freelancers and other external suppliers, providing materials and media as necessary.
- As you’ll have overall responsibility for ensuring resources, you will also report on sickness and annual leave absences and oversee the time reporting process.
- You will process administrative requests for Access Services teams including swaps and reservations.
Key Skills & Abilities
To be suitable for this position, you must have excellent time management, organisational skills, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. These are key areas if you are to succeed in this role.
You must also be comfortable with and can work alone and also as an integral part of a team. You should have the ability to use own initiative, work flexibly and under pressure to deadlines, as this can be a demanding role.
You will be able to evidence previous administrative experience and the ability to liaise with people at all levels, while creating and maintaining good working relationships.
