Focus right now is the journey of 5G which for digital services means new functionality and products but also transforming into cloud native applications. With us at BDGS you’ll be part of the next step in development of our products. We enable millions of simultaneous connected mobile users while handling traffic from IoT to 4K video in Gbit speeds. Ericsson BDGS will become the partner of choice of Telecom operators using the latest technologies in cloud and automation to manage complexity so the ambitious can differentiate with TCO efficient solutions for programmable 4G and 5G networks, automated operations and digital engagements. 


We are currently looking for a Technical Project Manager mainly in the area of Packet Core


The Technical Project Manager must have a big interest in technology as well as being team leader and drive projects. You will work in a diverse team with members from multiple time zones consisting of Telecom Integrators, Network Engineers and Solution Architects to deliver highly technical Telecom environments that range from smaller standalone deliveries to full operator like end-to-end networks. Work visualisation and backlog handling is primarily done in Jira. You will be a part of a bigger program called Shared Telecom Services that provides telecom environments to many different parts of Ericsson typically used for demos, events and learning business.


Job description

This successful leader must have Project Management expertise and excellent communication skills that allow for cultivating confidence and trust with our stakeholders but also with the team. The preferred candidate will have experience in running projects across time zones with deliveries of a Telecom nature.


The role demands considerable flexibility in quickly adapting to shifting needs, and is expected to effectively cover a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Backlog handling for the team
  • Managing multiple stakeholders
  • Developing a detailed project plan to track progress, manage project scopes, schedule and costs
  • Identifying improvement opportunities
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks and report in a timely manner
  • Managing multiple projects with smart prioritization of tasks and deliverable
  • Identifying possible operational issues and work to avoid them before they happen




We have high expectations on you as an individual, to bring a good combination of broad-based business, leadership, and functional experience:

  • Several years of relevant professional work experience with at least 2 years of experience in project management
  • Experience from working with Telecom products and solutions
  • Ability to understand the needs from each business units and/or business drivers and sponsors
  • Proven experience managing projects, effective time management, following and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in creating, managing, and following budgets
  • Superior influencing, presentation and communication skills



The following is a strong plus:

  • Experience from working in a service and support organization
  • Deep understanding of how a global organization works and interact between different function/units
  • Understanding of security aspects in Telecom and IT environments
