Job Summary:

We are looking for either recently graduates or person having recently got their PhD for the Ericsson Research branch in Pisa, Italy, for a temporary contract of 2 years to build and transfer technology competence to ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson by:

  • Developing novel system concept, solutions and algorithms
  • Transfer the competence and solutions to product development units
  • Presenting concepts, prototypes and publications
  • Contributing to our intellectual property portfolio



  • Define and develop prototypes, demonstrators and test beds to be shown both at internal events and worldwide technology events
  • Discuss and promote design ideas and solutions in international contexts
  • BE accountable for development and maintenance including design, implementation, test, integration release and bug fixing.
  • Ensure quality, testability, maintenability and function usability
  • Prepare technical documentation



KEy qualifications

  • Education: MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Robotics, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or closely related field. PhD is a preferred title
  • Mastering English language
  • Knowledge of (one or more or the following):
    • Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Vision, Cyber Physical Systems
    • IP networking, mobile networking, radio and optical technologies
    • SW development techniques and different languages (C, C++, Java, Python)
