Primary job responsibilities
 

  • 8+ years of significant software testing experience

  • Reviews design and functional specifications and comes up with test strategy to test a functional area

  • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.

  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.

  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.

  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.

  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Works on problems of complex scope, through extensive usage of standard concepts and principles.

  • Comes up with automation strategy and automates scripts

 
 

Required skills
 

  • Proven automation using scripting languages like PERL/Python

  • Proven experience in developing test plans

  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and software-defined networking (SDN) domain

  • Good Understanding of Linux layer 2 and 3 networking internals

  • Experience in testing of High Availability SDN Controllers

  • Should have worked on KVM/QEMU hypervisor environment

  • Knowledge of L2/L3 networking concepts like VLAN, MPLS/BGP/L3VPN, Routing Protocols

  • Experience in performance and scale testing of routing protocols

  • Experience with IXIA/Spirent  gears or other open source testing tools

  • Experience in defining complex network topologies

  • Experience in understand and replicating customer network

  • Expertise with at least one or more of the following technologies Open vSwitch, OpenFlow protocol
