Job Summary:

Business Area Networks (BNEW) Security are looking for a Privacy Manager. BNEW has a team of security professionals supporting the business by setting the strategic direction for Information Security, IT Security, Privacy and Business Continuity Management (BCM). The team works closely with the Product security organization in BNEW as well as other security functions cross Ericsson.

The BNEW Privacy Manager reports directly to the Head of BNEW Security.

 

Purpose of Job Role

The purpose of the role is to develop a tactical plan for implementing and maintaining Privacy requirements within BNEW area of responsibility in line with business needs and group Privacy strategy. As well as to ensure there are up to date processes and templates available for the execution of the Privacy Strategy.

The BNEW Privacy Manager reports directly to the Head of BNEW Security. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational excellence, continuous development and improvement of BNEW Privacy Tactical Plan, targets and directives based on regulations and business needs
  • Provide specialist privacy knowledge and advice within BNEW Security area of responsibility.
  • Develop governance models, processes, methods, tools and training to enable the organization to adequately assess privacy and ensure effectiveness of privacy program and control.
  • Analyze: Changes to the business environment, Corporate audit reports, Security assessments, Incidents, New threats and Vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • In the event of failure in protection ensure that the failures are: Logged, appropriately managed and investigated in a fair and unbiased manner, and Improvements opportunities identified and implemented.
  • Follow up on findings when we run Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
  • Deliver specialist knowledge to support in setting targets and strategies, via training and instructions/guidelines

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Knowledge of GDPR and hands on experience with process execution
  • Proven experience of Privacy related standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of relevant security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001
  • Certification by IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) such as CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/E or equivalent highly recommended
  • Security and Risk Management training or equivalent experience (such as PIA)
  • Knowledge of  product portfolio related to security
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
