Job Description

The incumbent would be part of IP Connectivity Team, IT Infrastructure Operations  within Global Competence Center (GCC), India. The position is based out of Gurgaon or Noida, India - open for both locations. He would be responsible for designing Network Solutions for managed service customers primarily and also provide third-level support to operations on incidents, problem resolutions and technical operations.

The incumbent should be expert on hardcore networking technologies including WAN, LAN and Security and must have a passion to learn evolved technologies like EVPN-VXLAN, Network Automation, Cloud services, virtualization, linux etc. 

 

Technical competencies (Network WAN)

  • Sound understanding on TC/IP architecture
  • Must be able to independently plan/create end-to-end solution, design & implement IP/MPLS transport networks for multiple different services.
  • Clear concept and strong technical domain knowledge in routing and switching. Also have fair idea about network security domain (Zone, Vlan, Security rule, NAT, TCP/SSL, ALGs etc.).
  • Good knowledge and experience of using IP/MPLS Protocols such as BGP, OSPF,ISIS,VRRP,LDP,RSVP-TE, MP-BGP. Design and implementation Knowledge on L2 services using – VPLS, HVPLS, , VLAN, STP, LACP, Ether-channel, VRRP, HSRP
  • Experience on Virtual chassis & high availability environments.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Large L2 and L3 based VPNs over IP/MPLS networks
  • Internetworking troubleshooting experience. Good analytical skills and ability to debug network issues. Hands on experience on open source tools like wireshark or packet sniffer, IPERF/JPERF throughput test or similar is expected.
  • Ability to convert customer requirements into a technical solution.
  • Routing/ switching/ security Architecture & Technology Knowledge of products from leading IP/MPLS vendors (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto etc.)
  • Industry technical certifications desirable.
  • Experience on automation and cloud services will be addon.
  • Knowledge on Vision.

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

 

  • Training and awareness of relevant OHS statutory requirements impacting Ericsson in the local market
  • Technical and operative coordination of resources or project management and services management with medium complexity
  • Support commercial roles in estimating time / cost for the customer offering
  • Proven ability to manage costs and Efficiently knowledge of the IT market benchmark resource profile

 

Key Qualifications:

 

Education: Graduate in Computer Science or similar

 

Minimum years of relevant experience: Min 5 years of relevant work experience.
