Packet Core (BDGS) develop and deliver packet core solution for mobile networks. With us at BDGS, you’ll be part of the next step in development of our products. Job Summary

We are looking for a Test Lead within PDG Gateway to maximize the use of our test capabilities, ensure that we continuously optimize the way we work, and secure that we always have a known test status that is visualized and communicated.

At the PDG Gateway we are responsible for the development and release of Gateway products. Much of the testing is done by the development teams, but we also have teams dedicated to performing extensive regression testing. We take pride in that we have automated most of the test execution and parts of the analysis of test results, since this enables fast feedback loops.

The role is based in Lindholmen (our headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden), but we also have operations in Shanghai and Madrid as well as strong dependencies to platform development in Budapest, Beijing and Bangalore.

 

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Planning and driving the test activities for 4G and 5G core networks in tight collaboration with development, test and release
  • Continuous improvement of test flow efficiency
  • Prioritizing items in the test backlog (including improvements, deviations and TRs)
  • Providing priorities to E3 development, for example test tool, test automation and infrastructure, defining and building test environment, tools and processes
  • Planning, distributing and tracking test scope across available teams
  • Ensuring transparency of test status and plan to stakeholders
  • Providing input to Program Manager, TTC (Technical Test Coordinator) and System Owner (SO) for PRG assessments
  • Collaborating with Line Managers to identify resource needs, and ensure empowered and accountable test teams

  

 Essential Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Passion for delivering high-quality testing, and not letting our users down
  • Self-driven, result oriented and proactive
  • Well organized with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to take decisions, manage backlog prioritization, and create strong networks
  • Genuine interest in leadership and strong coaching capabilities
  • Enjoy cooperating with others and good at listening and analyzing
  • Fluent in English, written and oral
  • Agile and DevOps methodologies and culture
  • Team leader or project management experience
  • BSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
