Are you a highly detailed  person who’s not afraid of digging into the data and problem solving?  Do you love the border between development and product?  Ericsson is this place, and we have an exciting opportunity for you in a fast-paced, highly collaborative technical environment.  As part of establishing a new manufacturing operations in the United States you will get to be a part of our Smart Manufacturing a state of the art Production site.

 

As a Verification Engineer you will conduct highly accurate physical measurements and perform material failure analyses of components and/or finished goods as part of our effort to analyze and quantify problems and proposed solutions for volume production and NPI operations.

You Have:
— Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
— Minimum five years of related experience
— Perform measurements on measurement equipment (CMM, Optical CMM, X-Ray fluorescence, contour/roughness, force gauge, etc) using relevant methods/fixtures to guarantee lowest measurement variation
— Create programs for CMM and Optical CMM using PC-DMIS software
— Analyze measurement results and create reports according to component specifications and standard requirements in close cooperation with other engineering functions
— Make proposals for further measurement methods/fixtures development
— Arrange/perform regular calibrations and maintenance for measurement equipment
— Perform material and failure analysis using cross-sectioning techniques and related equipment
— Write work instructions, perform trainings in own area of responsibility
— Fluent in English, speaking and writing

 

You might also have:

— Good understanding of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, standards, etc.
— Experience with quality tools such as MSA/GR&R, Cp/Cpk, and root cause analysis
— Computer-aided drafting skills
— Basics of metrology

 

Additional Requirements:
— Initially this position requires some overseas travel.
