Position: Head  NDO (Network Design and Optimization)

Reports to: Head CU Operations   

 

Job Role Summary

This role  will have overall accountability end to end for the overall Network Design and Optimisation business. You will be expected to lead and proactively drive within all phases of the sales and delivery lifecycles  to ensure a profitable business outcome with high levels of customer satisfaction. As  Head  NDO, you will ensure that your team is dimensioned both in scale and skill to meet the business needs of the organisation from both tactical and strategic perspectives. A relentless focus on extracting bottom line improvements via automation, processes, tools and delivery model innovations will be a key component of the role. You will also be expected to proactively drive top line growth together respective sales teams with the Key Account. As far as customer relationships you will be expected to engage on a regular basis to develop key relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout all phases of the NDO business.  

  

 

Overall Job Accountabilities 

Developing and Leading a team in both scale and skill to deliver according to agreed business and delivery strategies.

Tracking project financials and ensuring that respective plans are developed and put into place together with respective stakeholders to ensure financial Targets are being achieved.

Proactive engagement in measuring and tracking key efficiency indicators across cost centre and project and executing on plans to improve.

Defining, develop and drive execution of tactical and long-term strategies to support overall business objectives.

Drive 100% compliance of OHS adherence and COBE/Ethical conduct within all programs in CU Operations

Together with the respective project/program organization, enhance the profitability through continual commitment and proactive drive of efficiencies via tools, process and innovative delivery strategies. You will leave no stone unturned to find smarter, faster deliveries, leveraging on automation – ML and AI.

 

Proactive engagement and leadership with the respective sales organizations within the Key Accounts to identify and drive leads and opportunities from concept to realization. You will have key role reinforcing add- on sales culture and driving top line growth.

Provide the leadership on the evaluation, certification and management of authorized services providers/sub-contractors

Ownership & implementation for all tool platforms required for the NDO deliveries are deployed, operated and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

Lead C-Level customer presentations where required and proactively engage on a regular basis within the customer organization to identify needs, expectations and develop close relationships.

Proactively analyses customer network data for capacity bottlenecks impacting customer experience, creating a proposal of where and when to invest which is to be tabled and progressed with the Key Account.

Demonstrated ability to lead large service delivery teams in diverse and complex operational environments.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or IT mandatory

Other Business-related qualifications highly regarded

 

Relevant Experience

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in ICT Industry with experience in pre-sales and service delivery

Operational telecoms management experience of a least 5 years.

Demonstrated Network Design and Optimization background of at least 10 years

 Proven track record of leading teams to successful project outcomes in customer projects and CxO engagement.

Senior leadership experience, previous management experience and other leadership skills will be considered as an advantage

Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding service environment with changing and tight deadlines.

Solid and proven negotiation and conflict management skills
