Who are we?

The Chipset and Software Technology unit is part of the Standards & Technology organization within Business Area Networks. We are responsible for technology leadership and research in digital technology and software with focus on wireless systems. This is achieved through concept studies, system design, test beds, and driving technical innovation.


We are now looking for a Researcher with background in ASIC or FPGA development to join the Chipset and Software Technology unit in Lund, Sweden. We can offer you an interesting and developing career within an ever-changing technology area that exploits and expands the boundaries of physical realization.


You will be part of a team of senior professionals who represents a wide area of in-depth knowledge of the radio technology, and that are willing to share their knowledge in supporting you in your role and personal development. Still you will be an essential member of a smaller team where your contribution will make a difference.


As an employee you will be empowered to make your own planning, in securing the progress of delivering results. Your assignment spans from technology scouting for future technology as well as implementation for proof of concept of new way of thinking.


Required Competence

  • M.Sc. degree within Material Science or Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering or equivalent technical education on university level
  • Preferably at least 5 years’ experience within relevant technical area (or Ph.D)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Experience of the below areas are meritorious:
  • Experience of RTL Design
  • Experience of ASIC and or FPGA Tool suites
  • Experience of HW and SW co-design, systemization and simulation
  • Experience of signal processing.


Position Qualifications

You are confident in solving complex technical questions across organizations as part of a small team. Your contributions span from early feasibility all the way to implementation, trying out new concepts and ideas, spanning from standalone parts up to complete end to end solutions.

You are analytical, structural and result oriented. You will find creative solutions and know how to resolve problems when lacking information and act outside your formal area of responsibility when needed.


As a person you should be self-motivated, positive, and outgoing, a team player with strong analytical skills. You should also have the abilities in motivating, coordinating and coach others to success, and possess good communications skills and be a good relationship builder.
