We are now looking for an Expert in Microwave Radio for Transport to drive technology strategy and secure technology leadership in the microwave radio area.

Drive and be accountable for technology leadership in the domain and provide world-class expertise to the whole company. The responsibility is to invent and develop architectures and solutions and to secure state-of-the-art technology. Drive and foster innovation to secure relevant IPR and define corresponding IPR strategies and ensure that they are executed upon. Drive technology strategy planning in the domain and ensure there is alignment with relevant stakeholders in research, standardization, product management, technology development and product development. Conduct own research and collaborate and actively interact with universities/academia and with external technology partners. Be part in decision making within the technology domain and related product strategies. Educate and mentor others and spread his/her knowledge.
He/she shall create, and be the leader of, a living knowledge community, including experts and senior specialists, for the microwave and millimeter wave technology area. Secure important microwave and millimeter wave competence build-up in the related development organizations. Analyze the market and competition to identify viable solutions and differentiators in the domain. As additional responsibilities the expert shall cooperate with other experts and senior specialists to secure that the right technologies as well as competencies are available for Ericsson’s product development.
- Education: MSc or higher
- At least 10 years of experience in Microwave radio technologies
- Domain experience: RF Technology, including:
- high frequency electromagnetic wave propagation in air and other material substrate for filter
- antennas and waveguide design
- RF active components in GaAs, GaN, SiGe including LNA, PA and ADC/DAC
