R&D Manager - IoT Connected Vehicles

We are looking for a Manager to lead the R&D team in the Ericsson Internet-of-Things and Connected Vehicles Development & Delivery team located in Guangzhou, China.

 

Connectivity is changing the automotive ecosystem and the way drivers interact with their cars. Ericsson’s Connected Vehicle solutions caters to the global automotive industry’s need for scalability, security and flexibility when connecting products and services. In a rapidly changing landscape, Ericsson helps vehicle manufacturers to handle fast-evolving factors with full support for development and solution management. Our connected vehicle solutions enable value-adding services while providing robust and secure global connectivity for Automotive OEMs and Fleet Operators. We build our solutions on the Ericsson IoT platforms.

 

The Connected Vehicle R&D team in Guangzhou is a team of experience software developers, product owners, and software architects that are leading the development of our Connected Vehicles solutions. The products are developed in China, Sweden, and Romania and delivered to our customers all over the world.

 

We are firm believers in agile methodologies and are using the Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) to organize our large global product development program.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop a strong and successful R&D team
  • Be technical leader and visionary
  • Contribute to technology and product leadership
  • Establish new development processes, utilizing the best of the Ericsson R&D practices combined with state-of-the-art practices from the Internet, IT, and Cloud industries
  • Develop new processes and ways-of-working
  • Communicate product vision and roadmap
  • Contribute to the Connected Vehicle technology strategy
  • Manage relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish new development processes, utilizing the best of the Ericsson R&D practices combined with state-of-the-art practices from the Internet, IT, and Cloud industries
  • Be a technical leader and visionary
  • Sourcing of workforce suppliers and establishment of near-shoring partnerships
  • Implementation of KPIs as defined by the organization
  • Continuous improvement on efficiency, quality and reducing waste
  • Drive innovation and IPR in area of responsibility
  • Drive Knowledge Sharing and Learning

 

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Experience from managing software development teams
  • Hands-on experience from software development
  • 5+ years of experience from working in an global and international organization
  • Strong ability to formulate an organizational vision and long term strategy
  • Experience from leading technology strategy work
  • Strong analytical skills
