Patent Paralegal for Reading office

We are now looking for a Patent Assistant/Paralegal to work in our patent unit in Reading as part of our successful IPR & Licensing organization. You will ensure that the administrative part of patent portfolio management, e.g. filing and prosecuting patent applications, is performed in accordance with our strategy and patent law. You will collaborate with Inventors, Outside Counsels and all your colleagues in the global IPR & Licensing organisation.

 

The paralegals in the UK patent unit handle patent cases that have responsible patent attorneys based not only in the UK unit, but also in other patent units around the world. There will also be opportunities for you to be involved in project teams working on subjects such as Ways of Working, acquisitions and disposals.

 

The job requires a well-organized person with a keen eye on details and who works well in teams. You must have previous Patent experience, this could have been in a Paralegal or Secretarial capacity. You will also ideally have exposure to the European region as this is a multi-national role. It would also be highly advantageous if you are certified with CIPA.
