Job Summary

The NFVi Solution Architect is expected to analyze, dimension, prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of infra-structure elements which are the base of complex Telecom integration projects. Scope could include the scenarios of upgrade/modification and re-configuration of a complete NFVi/Cloud solution.

  

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

Technical or Bachelor degree in IT-related areas should have worked as IT Infra SME or Cloud Infra Architect, for 7+ years, working with complex implementations

  • Large experience in designing and implementing IT Infrastructure projects 
  • Datacenter (Servers, Blades, DC-Network, iSCSI, FCoE, SAN, Storage, Backup)
  • Familiar with solutions in Linux environments

 

Required Skills and Experience or job summary:

Total experience of 7+ Years and relevant and proven experience in following subject matter areas

  • Scope, define & design solution offerings; driving end-to-end technical solutions
  • Analyze customer technology, define business requirements & participate in risk analysis
  • Work with core team on list of potential activities & solutions
  • Develop technical presentations & proposals, & perform customer presentations
  • Support deployment of solution
  • Provide primary contact and feedback to Global R&D units.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation & information sharing
  • Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas & share information about solution to enable customer competence build

 

Abroad experience and knowledge in the following technologies below:

  • Knowledge and experience building Cloud infrastructure and virtualization, Network function virtualization.
  • Virtualization and Networking Technologies (i.e. KVM, SR-IOV, VMware. Neutron, FUEL, VxLAN, OVS)
  • Knowledge and experience in Openstack.
  • Understanding of IP and IT networking technologies:  (Switches :Juniper 4300/4600 & Pluribus, Routers: Cisco 9K, Firewalls A10 Thunder)
  • Knowledge and experience in Storage technology: VNX / ScaleIO.
  • Knowledge and experience Backup Server. Commvault would be a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in Datacenter HW Expansion: Control and Data Fabric and Computes.
  • Network Function Virtualization (NFV/SDN)

 

Desirable at least one of corresponding Certifications:

  • Virtualization solutions certifications (like VMware)
  • Linux Administration Certifications.
  • Openstack certifications

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Plan the implementation of the Product Configuration / Integration work
  • Create IT Infrastructure High Level Design (HLD/LLD):
  • HW & SW description for each IT environment component.
    • Rack mount Design and Physical Network/SAN Topology Design.
    • Compute Layer & Virtualization Design
    • Storage Design.
    • Compute Application Nodes configuration
    • Database Physical and Logical Design & Nodes configuration.
    • Backup tools, polices and process.
    • Geographic Redundancy detailed Design
  • Execute Product Configuration & Integration work
  • Prepare acceptance test and handover to customer
  • Identify and drive performance improvements
  • Perform Post Project activities and handover
  • Eventually might Support presales activities, including assessments

 

Additional Requirements, Physical Demands, Region/Local Specifications:

  • Available to travel at least 25%
