Job Summary
Product Development Unit Transport (PDU TP) as part of Business Unit Networks at Lindholmen is now looking for an Experienced System Owner of transport nodes. 

PDU TP develops transport equipment from antenna site to mobile packet core gateway and are vital pieces for building and serving billions of mobile service users around the world. The network nodes that we develop includes cell site routers, pre-aggregation and aggregation routers, fronthaul transmission, and an extensive range of microwave links. We also have collaboration with partners requiring us to take a total ownership of end-to end IP network solutions as well as network management and orchestration systems. 


The Experienced System owner, transport nodes role at the systems section in PDU TP, has the following general responsibilities: 
•    Definition of implementation architecture 
•    Functional and Performance & Scalability Requirements
•    Judge fulfillment of technical quality and lead customer engagement
The Systems section at PDU TP consists of professionals with long design experience and domain specialist competence.


Responsibilities & Tasks
The experienced system manger role at PDU TP will define and guard implementation architecture of a category of transport node designs. The objective is to ensure development efficiency vs total portfolio of design, fulfillment of customer value, adherence to key design principles to support long term objectives with product portfolio. The role will be part of development programs, it will interface other steering functions inside and outside the development program, it will engage with development teams. You will make sure that relevant work packages and internal studies are started to support the future product vision.

You will be working in close cooperation with Product Owners, System Architects and domain Specialists. You will engage in customer dialogs on selected lead customer engagements where you will explain design choices and decisions, we as a vendor have made. 
You will be part of shaping the future for Ericsson’s 5G platform!
Main responsibilities are:
•    Definition and guardian of implementation architecture for a category of network node products
•    Definition of and authority over functional and Performance & Scalability requirements
•    Decision on fulfillment of technical quality and lead customer engagement
•    End-to-end network scenario definition for proper interoperability 
•    IPR, Standardization and Innovation
•    Prototype implementation

Position Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you need to have the following qualifications and skills:
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in HW and or SW design
•    Proven experience as a technical leader within design projects 
•    Very good general knowledge of CPU systems, packet forwarding silicon, FPGA design, Sync design solutions, Linux, embedded SW systems
•    Very strong analytical and logical skill
•    Strong ability to cooperate with peers
•    Enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills
•    Strong soft skills for negotiation, influencing and decision making


You should have a technical background of:
•    Master of Science from a Technical University or equivalent
•    Highly developed design skills, especially on design modeling and design pattern
•    Broad R&D working experience, i.e. test, SW design, system design etc minimum 10 years
•    Strong knowledge about transport systems using IP & Ethernet protocols
•    Strong knowledge of complex system architectures
