Product Development Group Gateway (PDG GW) as part of PC in Lindholmen are now looking for an ambitious and creative System Manager (SM) with telecom business experience within the area of Security, wanting to further learn and grow together with us. PDG GW develops Control- and User Plane for Evolved Packet Gateway functionality, which handles packet data services in the access network. The network node functions we develop are EPG for 4G and SMF/UPF for 5G. Node deployment is carried out on native hardware as well as on VMs and containers in a cloud environment.
The System Management has the following general responsibilities:
- Drive the PDGs view on product vision and technology roadmap by e.g. system studies
- Managing system requirements and artefacts, compliance to standards etc.
- Interface towards Area Product Owner (APO) Product Line (PL) and the business regions, System & Technology (S&T) for studies, standardization and pre-sales support
At Lindholmen the SM section consists of groups within various competence areas with a strong focus on evolvement of packet data services for 5G, where cloud deployment is one strategic focus area.
Responsibilities & Tasks
The SM Security role will be the main responsible for defining security aspects and requirement for all Gateway products. The role is also the interface towards program steering roles, development teams, platform development and external parties within the area. You will involve in and make sure relevant work packages and internal studies are started to support the future product vision.
As System Manager for Security you will be handling and defining the product requirements regarding network security and corresponding vulnerability assessment/penetration testing. You will lead the Security competence team, where you jointly plan the work and share tasks and knowledge.
You will be working in close cooperation with Product Owners, System Architects, Security Specialist and development teams managing requirements and drive future evolvement in the security area for EPG and SMF/UPF for all types of deployments. You will also have a tight cooperation with stakeholders within the security community (internal and external). Some of the challenges are maintaining focus on priorities, communicate, inspire and be active in studies needed to drive the area towards the product vision.
You will be part shaping the future for Ericsson’s security performance in 5G!
Main responsibilities are:
- Drive system studies; do security analysis and provide support to business regions
- Identify requirements and coordinate within the Packet Core organization as well as with PDG external parties like platform- and 3PP providers
- Perform security impact analysis for new features in close interaction with design teams
- Identify/improve requirements related to the area and take responsibility for applicable documentation
- Answer questions from customers and internal stakeholders in regard to security
- Coordinate security activities with Product Management and other parts of the PC organization
- Monitor status and trends within the area, both internal and external. Collect and spread information within the PDG and other internal communities.
To succeed in this position, you need to have the following qualifications and skills:
- MSc/BSc level in Computer Science or equivalent level of education
- Telecom and 3GPP knowledge
- Proven experience in SW development from a security perspective
- Requirement Management knowledge
- Product Life Cycle Management knowledge
- Customer and Business Understanding
- Experience in Networking and building relationships with stakeholders
- Knowledge Sharing and Communication skills
- Fluent in English, written and oral
And it is great if you have these additional skills and experiences:
- Lean and Agile knowledge
- Skills to Adapt & Respond to Change
- Knowledge about EPG, SMF/UPF and/or other Packet Core products
- Knowledge in the SSR platform
- Customer interaction experience
