Ericsson Digital Services helps service providers prosper in the digital economy. From enhancing the way service providers engage with their customers to automating operations, we're helping service providers reach new levels of programmability, access and agility – levels that digital natives call home. We provide solutions consisting of software and services in the areas of Digital Business Support Systems (BSS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), Cloud Communication, Cloud Core, and Cloud Infrastructure. The portfolio is focused on 5G-ready, cloud-native, automated and industrialized solutions to secure a smooth digitalization journey towards 5G.

Ongoing digitalization, together with virtualization and the introduction of 5G is driving new opportunities for service providers. It gives possibilities to capitalize on the investments better by programming and slicing 4G and 5G networks for specific consumer and industry needs. It also gives possibilities to automate operations and become radically more efficient, and to serve and engage with customers digitally.

We develop the software for Ericsson Software Defined Infrastructure, SDI, the world's first complete system based on Intel® Rack Scale Design. SDI is a key component of the NFVi solution providing software defined HW infrastructure and supports common vendor agnostic hardware

SDI is designed to manage the datacenter resources of telecom operators, service providers, and enterprises. Our unit builds the control and analytics software to monitor and manage a hyperscale cloud.

 

We are now looking for a Java Developer to join a development team, working end-to-end with all development activities such as: requirement analysis, software design, integration, verification, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.

Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work. We work in a truly global environment with development centers in several sites.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test high quality products
  • Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling 
  • Perform trouble shooting and customer support
  • Continuous Development/ evolvement of competence in technical domain
  • Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
  • Competence sharing

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Master of Science or similar experience
  • Java programming language
  • Experience of working in a cloud environment
  • Shell scripting
  • REST interface
  • Networking/virtual networking
  • Git/Gerrit
  • Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
  • Business understanding
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Good communication skills
