Job Summary:

Business Area Networks (BNEW) is responsible for Ericsson´s industry leading radio products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. BNEW is focused on securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market.

The Test Tool External unit within Development Services and Infrastructure, DSI, have an important role in supporting internal R&D development with external (3PP) test tools. Examples of test tools being handled are UE Simulators, Channel Simulators, Beamforming tools, Protocol Analyzers, Radio Simulator.  

For the Test Tool External team in Linköping, focusing on 5G, we are now looking for one additional Technical Vendor Manager. As a Technical Vendor Manager, you will work with the test tools in, as well as exploring new possible offerings to, our product portfolio. You will have close cooperation with internal customers, external suppliers and supplier management.

  • Handle stakeholder requirements on new functionality requests towards vendor tools
  • Management of vendor and stakeholder relations
  • Participate in and/or organize technical coordination meetings 
  • Drive or participating in evaluation of test tools 
  • Provide and coordinating technical support and education activities
  • Vendors market knowledge for relevant tools 
  • Initiate manage and drive change within the technical area


Key Qualifications:

  • M. Sc or relevant education on similar level
  • Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
  • A quality mindset, ability for strategic thinking
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience in agile and lean way of working
  • Proven ability to negotiate and collaborate to reach solutions in a multi stakeholder environment
  • Domain knowledge in LTE (4G) and 5G 
  • Experience with tools like UE simulators, Channel Simulators, Beamforming tools, Protocol Analyzers, Radio Simulator is preferred
  • Experience with strategy and concept studies is preferred
  • We expect you to have a holistic mindset, strategic thinking, are ability to both focus on long term at the same time as you solve todays problems with a strong sense of urgency and that you can cooperate and generate energy
