Job description: -   Remote Anywhere Operations Engineer 

 

The RA Back Office provides third-level support on incidents, problem resolutions and technical operations.

The Citrix Network Expert should be expert on Citrix Netscalers.

Tasks during service implementation

Typical tasks for the Citrix Network Expert would be:

  • Gather requirements and provide input on the RA Citrix design
  • Install and configure the RA solution
  • Install routers, switches, load balancers and firewall equipment
  • Execute test scripts
  • Create technical documentation
  • Provide technical  support
  • Design/configure alarms for Citrix network (monitored by the Front Office team)

1.1Tasks during service operations

  • Investigate and resolve incidents
  • Investigate and diagnose problems. Where applicable, identify short-term work-around solutions.
  • Act as Citrix expert and identify enhancements in RA solution, provide input to RFCs etc.
  • Support and maintain routers, switches, load balancers and firewall equipment
  • Create technical documentation
  • Provide technical  support
  • Redesign and reconfigure alarms for Citrix network

  • Education
    • Citrix CCEE certified
    • Citrix  CCP - Networking
    • Cisco CCNA
  • Professional skills
    • 5+ years of proven experience with Citrix Netscalers.
      • Experience in deployment and configuration of NetScaler on both the Classic and N-Core platforms on both VPX and SDX architecture
      • Experience in Disaster Recovery and High Availability with NetScaler SDX and Branch Repeater platforms
      • Experience of a multi-tenant SDX design, implementation, support and operations
      • Experienced with advanced configuration and implementation of the Access Gateway, Load Balancing, Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB), Context Switching, and policies.
      • Experience with Citrix Command Center and integration to other platforms and solutions for configuration, change, monitoring and reporting purposes
      • Designs, builds, and enhances the NetScaler and connecting environments. Works closely with the Architects and other delivery teams to ensure alignment and functionality for the integrated services and external components. Example of integrated services and external components:
        • Active Directory (LDAP)
        • RADIUS
        • PKI – certificate based authentication
        • Web Interface
        • Citrix StoreFront
        • Citrix XenApp
        • Citrix XenDesktop
        • Citrix Provisioning Services (PXE, TFTP)
        • Citrix Receiver
        • Citrix SmartAccess
    • Experience from design and implementation of firewall rules
    • Experience from working with SYSLOG
    • Experience from large, complex IT environments
    • Experience with common routing protocols such as BGP, WCCP and OSPF
    • Experience with TCP/IP, load balancing and connectivity methodologies
    • Knowledgeable within network security and integration with the XenApp environments

    • Experience from Ericsson’s Incident-, Problem and Access management processes
    • Experience with ITIL Framework and support in general
    • Knowledge of the Ericsson organization, products, processes and customers

3Reporting

The Citrix Expert should report directly to the Operational  manager in India.
