We are now looking for an Access Services Operations Closed Captioner. In this role, you will make content accessible to audiences with sensory disabilities on behalf of customers (for example Deaf or hard of hearing, blind or partially sighted) or to speakers of other languages. You will also ensure that the access services files and streams convey messages in line with the relevant editorial and regulatory policies.
Captioners provide captions for a wide range of output. Live captions are produced primarily using voice recognition software and a process called respeaking. Pre-recorded captions are time-coded to ensure captions match the audio track.
You would also be working in a broadcast environment, providing a service, to multiple territories, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Captioners must be prepared and able to work on a rotational shift pattern covering a range of shifts.
