Job description

Ericsson is investing in the future 5G technology where ASIC and FPGA development is key. Therefore, we are significantly strengthening our capacity in the digital ASIC and FPGA domain in Lund. This offers a great opportunity to take ownership of technical solutions and shape product definition.

 

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join the Digital ASIC/FPGA team in Lund. As manager for one of the ASIC/FPGA sections you will be leading a highly skilled team which is collaborating with other design units in Lund, Stockholm, Austin and Beijing to design cutting edge ASICs and FPGAs for 5G.     

 

General responsibilities for Line Manager in ASIC & FPGA

  • IP development, including TLM modeling, RTL design, block and sub-system level verification for units located in both ASIC and FPGA
  • Implementation, including Top Level Verification, backend and FPGA validation
  • Staff responsibility, competence development, budget, interface towards stakeholders, salaries, recruiting and resource allocation

 

Accountabilities

  • Ensure strong collaboration with other units
  • Way of working is through agile cross functional teams working in sprints and participating in different projects
  • Goals setting, follow-up and strategically evolving section towards vison
  • Contribute and drive internal efficiency, cost effectiveness via new or alignment of existing ways of working across all other design sections
  • Chair and participate in steering groups inside organization or towards external suppliers
     

Qualifications

 

You are a strong, result-oriented leader with focus on finding effective and sustainable solutions while being pro-active, empowering, pragmatic and able to make things happen.

  • Several years of experience from working as line manager or project manager in R&D organizations
  • Experience of semiconductor business and ASIC and/or FPGA development
  • Excellent communication skills as well as teambuilding, coaching and cooperation skills
  • Knowledge regarding cellular radio communication is beneficial 
  • Experience in agile ways of working
