Developer Intern - IoT and Blockchain

Are you a graduate student interested in pursuing a master’s or doctorate degree in industrial collaboration with Ericsson? We are looking for a person to join our team to perform integration, testing and deployment of IoT and Blockchain systems as part of the SOFIE EU Horizon 2020 project. Your exact tasks and responsibilities would depend on your competence, and they would be aligned with your thesis goals.
The position is based in R&D Center Finland located in Kirkkonummi, Finland. R&D Center Finland is one of Ericsson’s major R&D sites. As an Intern, you will have the following main responsibilities and oppotunity to develop yourself in:
Develop a public cloud-based Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment and related software pipelines
Integration and testing of SOFIE blockchain-based open source platform
Competences we are looking for:
- You have knowledge or deep interest in Internet of Things (IoT) systems, Blockchains and/or public cloud systems.
- You like to work in an environment where you co-operate closely with your team colleagues, together striving to fulfill common targets.
- You like to communicate with people and find it easy to explain your findings and knowledge to others.
- You are comfortable with programming and have knowledge of SW development processes.
Experience / competence seen as an advantage:
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Excellent programming skills, particularly python and shell scripting
Experience in integration and testing of software projects
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience collaborating in multi-site projects
Knowledge of blockchain technologies is beneficial, but not strictly required
