Position Summary

Part of Ericsson’s Global Early Career Program, this position aims at identifying potential technical leaders early on their careers, which ambition reaching a leading position within 5 years after completion of the program.

We look for agile, smart, technology-savvy, multicultural, and open-minded young talent that we will support going through multiple experiences within Ericsson with the objective of accelerating his/her career development.

We will leverage internal resources and build on the everyday learning 70/20/10 principle, where geographical mobility, job rotation, assignments and shadowing/coaching/mentoring will be the foundation.

Being part of a global trainee program, you will get the opportunity to work in all steps of the product development process; from business opportunity to requirement analysis, design, integration, verification, deployment and customer support.

Focus will be put on the analysis of requirements to design SW architectures and solutions that are innovative and satisfy our customers’ needs. You will practice and develop your skills for creating efficient proof of concepts and demos as well as products ready for release on the market.

  

Position Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • A university degree (MSc or PhD), preferably within telecom or software engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of SW programming languages (e.g. C++)
  • Very good understanding of telecom and IP networks and new technology trends like Network Function Virtualization, Cloud, Software Defined Networks
  • Genuine technology interest, curiosity and eagerness to learn about new technology and how to apply it in telecom and ICT
  • Creativity, willingness to experiment and prototype
  • Fluent English
  • This is a Trainee program - You may have at most 2 years of working experience
  • You must be willing to spend several months in a different location than your hiring’s unit

 

Any of the following qualifications are valuable but not mandatory:

  • Programming skills, for example Web-scale IT, or enterprise cloud applications
  • Modern development methods, such as lean/agile, micro service design
  • Entrepreneurial experience

The position is based in Madrid, Spain, with global rotation
