Master Researcher / Senior Advisor - Consumer Lab

This role is placed within Research area (RA) Consumer- & IndustryLab. Ericsson ConsumerLab delivers world class consumer research, strategic design concepts and insights for innovation & business development in ICT. We explore the effects of ICT on consumers, industry and on a societal level.

 

Key Job Functions

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and business units to scope and define consumer research projects that deliver actionable findings to drive thought leadership and address business needs
  • Communicates consumer insights and their implications and advise stakeholders, senior management and customers on how to best use research findings
  • Identify and contribute to new and relevant consumer research questions, to drive strategic issues and thought leadership about evolving consumer ICT use.
  • Partner with academia and external start-ups to combine insights and knowledge on consumer needs with technical solutions to create new design ideas, protypes and demonstrations
  • Act as a spokesperson for Ericsson ConsumerLab studies and insights, providing Ericsson with a “voice of the consumer”, e.g. at external events, press briefings and customer meetings.
  • Transfer knowledge internally to secure that ConsumerLab always stays in the forefront of understanding consumer ICT use trends

 

Experience

  • Relevant experience, at least 6-7 years, working in consumer related areas, preferably as a trend analyst, senior consumer researcher, management consultant, a business & market intelligence analyst.
  • Experience in leading the design and execution of consumer insight projects either as an internal corporate researcher or working at a market research supplier.
  • Experience with business & market intelligence function with knowledge of the ICT industry, its players and business models is an advantage
  • Background from having worked in international organizations and with multi-disciplinary teams is an advantage
