Senior Automation Engineer

As a part of establishing an Ericsson Production Site in the US we are now looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to drive Ericsson’s Automation journey within our Manufacturing arena. Key aspects of the role is to secure smart production automation by establishing automation solutions and connecting them to a smart manufacturing network.

 

Our Exciting Opportunity:

— Build up smart automation solutions within Ericsson’s manufacturing

— Connect the automation solutions into a network to enabling connectivity and analytics to build up smart automation solutions.

— Ensure the site uses state of the art automated final assembly (FA) process and technology

— You will support the production with engineering competence to ensure seamless operation of automated solutions

— Participate in NPI projects and drive successful introduction of new products, production and test concepts from design phase to volume production.

— Support the global supply organization in outbound/inbound production transfers.

— Establish a strong network across various Ericsson organizations such a Supply, R&D, Sourcing, Finance and other Ericsson production sites to drive E2E cross functional improvements of the business.

— Drive systematic improvements through analysis of KPIs and other performance data.


You Have:
— Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with focus on automation and robotics or other similar degree.
— Minimum of 10 years manufaturing, automation and robotics solutions and design. 
— Software knowledge such as programming of PLC’s, Python, C++, MatLab, etc.
— Manufacturing processes knowledge
— The motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools
— Ability to be a team player and work with multicultural teams.
— Initially this role will require travel oversees for training
