It will be practically impossible for human brains to understand how to run and optimize next generation of wireless networks, i.e., 5G network with distributed edge compute, that will drive economic and social transformation for all aspects of society.  Machine Learning (ML) and other Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies will be vital for us to handle this opportunity.

 

Machine Intelligence, the combination of Machine Learning (ML) and other Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is what Ericsson uses to drive thought leadership to automate and transform Ericsson offerings and operations. MI is also a key competence for to enable new and emerging business. This includes development of models, frameworks and infrastructure where we in our advancements push the technology frontiers. We engage in both academic and industry collaborations and drive the digitalization of Ericsson and the Industry by developing state of the art solutions that simplify and automate processes in our products and services and build new value through data insights.

 

Ericsson is hiring Experienced Data Engineers to significantly expand its ML/AI team in Plano, TX.

 

Job Description:

This role requires an experienced Big Data developer with hands-on experience in implementing predictive analytics/machine learning/data science solutions on cloud based/distributed enterprise scale data lake platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Member of a team designing and developing a solution involving the ingestion of high-volume network data, machine learning based analytics and automated problem resolution.
  • Contribute to the analysis of solution requirements and the E2E design.
  • Responsible for the design and development of key components.
  • Support data science teams in producing machine learning based analytics components that integrate into the overall solution.
  • Support optimizing the solution for performance and scalability.
  • Support deployment of the solution into production.

 

What we would like to see:

Education: B.Tech/MS  in Computer Science Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics or related fields

  • Experience with the design and development of Big Data solutions.
  • Strong development skills including Linux, Shell, Python, Java, Scala.
  • Experience using NoSQL databases such as MAPR, HBase, Casandra, Mongo DB, Hive.
  • Experience with big data processing using Spark and data pipeline tools such as StreamSets or Apache Nifi.
  • Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka.
  • Exposure to cloud deployment models such as Kubernetes.
