The role
We are now looking for a Sourcing Intern looking to take a year out of university to work with our UK & Ireland Sourcing team. Your role will help to make Ericsson and our Customers successful by actively contributing towards securing short and long-term profitable business.
Key deliverables include:
- Contribute towards alignment and collaboration between Sourcing and business stakeholders
- Understand and ultimately help to drive the effective management of supplier spend for assigned projects with good attention to cost, supplier efficiency and quality
- Participate in strategic Sales and project forums
- Build relationship with Stakeholders through early involvement and proactive engagement.
- Conclude reporting and updating of records as required from sourcing.
- Participate and actively contribute with sourcing information and insights to business cases to Stakeholders
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives, tracking savings and assess progress made against these for relevant team members.
- Assist with the planning and submission of customer proposals together with the relevant Sourcing Manager/stakeholder.
We believe this role would suit a Bachelor’s degree student in their sandwich year studying a business related degree. Ideally you will have some office-based experience in an account management/business development type role. Alongside this, you should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
