Head of Sourcing CU LATAM North (f/m)

The Head of Sourcing CU LATAM North will report to the Head of Sourcing Market Area Europe & Latin America (MELA) and dotted line to the Head of CU LATAM North.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Passion for driving and delivering impactful changes within Ericsson; ensuring that Sourcing is a real commercial partner within the business.
  • Experience of working at a senior level within a large and complex organisation
  • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders internally, exceptional communication skills
  • Significant experience of sourcing / purchasing
  • Strong negotiation experience – either as a customer or a supplier
  • Proven leadership behaviours, including cross countries. Mentorship experience.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in an ambiguous environment
  • Experience with trade compliance and ISO certification requirements (CIPS or MCIPS certification)
  • University degree in Economics or Technology or equivalent experience
  • Preferable: experience in the Telco or IT sector within customer projects

    The Head of Sourcing CU LATAM North will be responsible for the following key priorities:

  1. Build a high performing team, team structure and set ways of working for the Sourcing team in the CU that are cost efficient and effective. 
  2. Ensure effective management of total spend; driving excellence in cost, supplier efficiency and quality in line with the profitability targets of the company.
  3. Drive the improvement of our WCAP in the CU through improvement of payment days with third party suppliers
  4. Ensure compliance with all laws and ISO certification requirements.  Ensure information security is at the top of the agenda, and drive safety and security requirements.
  5. Develop and execute Full Potential Savings Initiatives (eg via volumes and/or scope management) within the CU
  6. Supports the business by representing all sourcing categories (direct and indirect)
  7. Ensure execution as per the company strategic sourcing process
  8. Ensure alignment and collaboration with business stakeholders as well as with the MELA Sourcing Domains and Sourcing Business Excellence teams.

The Head of Sourcing CU LATAM North will manage a team across several countries.  As a member of the CU Leadership Team, represents the entire sourcing organisation in the Leadership Team.

The location for the position is Mexico. Some travelling within CU LATAM North is required.
