Purpose of Job Role

Process Managers shall align, prioritize, design, document, deploy, maintain, control, support and improve processes / process components to secure efficient process flows and governance. This covers all types of processes and their interfaces.

Possible process roles having this job role may be: Business Architect, Process Architect, Process Manager, Process Driver, Process Developer or Process Support. See: Process Management at Ericsson.

 

Typical Interfaces

The Process Manager has interfaces to Process Owners, other Process Managers, Business Relationship Managers (BRM) (or other IT roles regarding IT demands i.e. Business IT Demand Manager), Improvement Managers, unit managers and others who execute the process in scope and/or utilize the process deliverables.

 

Potential Job Role Performance Metrics

 The performance of the role is based on E2E process performance measurements, process compliance and the ability to continuously improve processes / process components in scope. Furthermore, positive recognition from key stakeholders may also form a base for performance judgement.
 

Tools & Resources

Knowledge of tools and IT systems used in the process is required. Example on other tools and resources are: Collaboration tools, Process and information Modeling tool, Development and Management tools, Unified Architecture and Process Architecture Frameworks and ERIM (portal for ERicsson Information Management)

Domain knowledge is required depending on where role is applied. E.g. “Financial Model Knowledge” is needed within the finance area.
