Ericsson is the early leader in bringing 5G to market and our Radio networks are built by a large amount of software systems, all of them with different requirements and characteristics. Some are standardized orchestration SW on COTS and others are specialized SW on proprietary massive parallel hardware executing radio algorithms. They all work together as the distributed brains of mobile internet. These systems make a plethora of fantastic challenges which all shape the learning playground for each of us working here.
In BBI we focus on our users and strive to make baseband development awesome. We do that by challenging the status quo and deploying our products continuously. Our unit is responsible to systemize, design, implement and integrate software features to control the air interface. We are looking for talented UX Designer/Developer within Web development to join our new SW development unit in Austin.
You will be part of a small high performing team responsible to develop, maintain and deliver tools and frameworks used by all Ericsson 5G baseband developers. Your team will own the full stack implementation with emphasis on a good user experience, performance and stability. Together with teams in Austin and other Ericsson locations you will define use cases and set requirements on your part of the 5G baseband development environment to make sure we can deliver the best 5G products to delight our customers.
- Passionate about UX design
- Experience working within established brand guidelines and style guides
- Ability to clearly communicate your design decisions with the team and craft elegant presentation and storytelling capabilities.
- Experience creating prototypes that showcase design concepts and interaction patterns.
- Ability to quickly deliver multiple, inventive ideas that are fresh and simple while solving complex customer and business needs.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
- Experience working in Linux environment
- Experience working in a Git / Gerrit based development flow
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field + 5 years of experience, Master's Preferred
Additional Experience Desired:
- Knowledge about embedded SW systems
