Head of Category Management - EMEA and LATAM

 

 

This role is responsible for  Sourcing Networks and Managed Services / Site Products and Logistics (NMS/SPEL) will report to the Head of Sourcing Market Area Europe & Latin America (MELA) and dotted line to the Global Sourcing Head of Network and Managed Services and the Global Sourcing Head of Site Products and Logistics. The Head of MELA Sourcing Network and Managed Services/ Site Products and Logistics is a member of the MELA Sourcing leadership team.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Passion for driving and delivering impactful changes within Ericsson; ensuring that Sourcing is a real commercial partner within the business.
  • Experience of working at a senior level within a large and complex organisation
  • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders internally, exceptional communication skills
  • Significant experience of sourcing / purchasing
  • Strong negotiation experience – either as a customer or a supplier
  • Proven leadership behaviours, including cross countries. Mentorship experience.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in an ambiguous environment
  • Experience with trade compliance and ISO certification requirements (CIPS or MCIPS certification)
  • University degree in Economics or Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Preferable: experience in the Telco or IT sector within customer projects

The Head of MELA Sourcing Network and Managed Services / Site Products and Logistics will be responsible for the following key priorities:

  • Build a high performing team, team structure and set ways of working for the Sourcing team that are cost efficient and effective. 
  • Ensure effective management of total spend; drive excellence in cost, supplier efficiency and quality in line with the profitability targets of the company
  • Create cost effective & sustainable category business solutions and industrialization
  • Develop and execute category wide savings, including Full Potential Savings Initiatives (eg via volumes and/or scope management) in the Network and Managed Services / Site Products and Logistics categories
  • Drive and execute the improvement of our WCAP in the CU through improvement of payment days with third party suppliers
  • End-to-end Responsible for execution of CU sales deals and projects involving Network and Managed Services / Site Products and Logistics in alignment with Domains and CU stakeholders’ requirements
  • Drive solutions and support CU Sourcing Business Partners towards Sourcing Decision Making (SDM) outcomes in line with category strategies
  • Drive supplier business intelligence, benchmarking practice & category market knowledge, establishing a cost effective & competitive market place
  • Define and drive sourcing category vision, strategy, and related targets in alignment with stakeholders and Global category strategies
  • Develop Sourcing CU and stakeholder’s category competence by sharing category knowledge (best practices, business intelligence, new solutions etc.)
  • Define & secure implementation of a preferred supplier list
  • Develop the category business model & define best practices
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration with the Global Category managers

The Head of MELA Sourcing Network and Managed Services / Site Products and Logistics will manage a team across several countries.  

The location for the position is indifferent but must be in one of the MELA countries. Some travelling is required.
