Job summary
The objective of Ericsson Research Area Security is to provide Ericsson business and development units with security competence, architectures, and solutions for platforms, networks, and services. Our research covers everything from pure cryptography, secure networking, service layer and application security, identity management, privacy, Machine Learning (ML) models that can predict, detect and deter adversarial attacks, to development of methods for evaluation of security systems.

 

Job description
Ericsson Research is looking for a senior researcher to expand its Security Analytics team.
• Do you have deep understanding of machine ML technologies?
• Do you have a good understanding of modern security technologies and threats?
• Do you want to apply and extend these skills to conduct ML research on big data to detect security issues in networks?

 

If the answers are yes, then consider joining our Security Analytics team in Stockholm conducting advanced research that will increase the trustworthiness of next generation cellular networks by introducing ML models that can predict, detect and deter adversarial attacks targeting mobile infrastructure and supported applications.

 

Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Conduct research within the security analytics team at Ericsson Research organization, sometimes in partnership with research/RR&D labs from strategic customers
• Develop proof-of-concepts or prototypes of security solutions to detect adversarial attacks using machine learning and AI, proposing/selecting/testing predictive models, recommendation engines, anomaly detection systems, statistical model, deep learning, reinforcement learning and other machine learning systems.
• Supports the product development teams and partners in Ericsson Businesses with security analytics competence, transferring knowledge and prototypes.
• Engage with external researchers at academia and EU projects.
• Ability to present research progress and results

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
We are looking for person with a PhD or MSc degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering or related fields and has at least 2-3 years’ experience in data science theory, algorithms, applications, tools, frameworks, languages and data engineering. The person is required to feel comfortable coding application in a Linux cluster environment; work well both independently and as part of a team, have a strong drive, very good collaboration and communication skills in English both in written and oral form, a talent for innovation, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Security knowledge skills is particularly valued
• Fundamentals in IP networking technologies.
• Applications/Domain-knowledge in Telecommunication.
• Experience in presenting results at different levels depending on the audience
