Who we are

Mechanical and Power Solutions(MPS) at Lindholmen is responsible for research, development and maintenance of Board Power solutions to the majority of the Ericsson Radio System Product Portfolio. We are a part of the Ericsson’s global design organization and engaged in developing products for the present and future mobile networks now with heavy focus on 5G.

Board Power Digital is now looking for an Experienced Embedded Software Developer that can join the SW team within Board Power Digital at Ericsson Lindholmen. The SW team is working with the next the generation of digital power designs that is used in many Ericsson products such as basebands, radios and transport solutions.

Job description

You will work in an agile Scrum team developing a FW that is responsible for power management, which is used in a variety of Eriksson’s product portfolio. The FW is developed by a team that are expected to take big responsibility for their own learning, development environment and pre-development. In the team we try to focus on building a high performing team culture where all members feel seen and valued. With the opportunity to grow and learn in their daily work.

In this team you will work in close cooperation with different power design areas and with global power system suppliers. You will interact with design disciplines across Ericsson, such as board power design, digital design, system design and building practices. Co-operation with global production sites and other design centers in Sweden and China is part of the daily work.

 

The main responsibilities for the SW team are working with the development of a digital power platform and test tool development. The digital power platform consists of two parts, Board Power Manager(BPM) and a configuration GUI. The BPM FW is programmed in C, and the GUI is developed in C#. The test tools are programmed in mainly C and LabVIEW.

The FW is developed in close cooperation with our HW design teams so experience from HW close programming is highly meritorious.

The BPM interacts with the surrounding components at HW level so understanding of HW design and experience of HW test and measurement is needed to understand and test the functionality of the FW.

You should have a driving personality and be good at networking and building contacts. You are not afraid to support in different areas and find it interesting to support in a variety of tasks.

 

Qualifications

You take initiative and are willing to adopt new methods and techniques. You work well independently, but you are also a team player with good communication skills. You have worked some years within the field and have:

 

·         Bachelor or Master of Science

·         Experience of programming in embedded C

·         Experience in developing unit and component tests for embedded SW

·         Experience from Pearl and Python Scripts

·         Experience from working with GIT and Gerrit.

·         Experience of working with UNIX/Linux

·         Good cooperation & communication skills

·         Fluent in English.

 

Good to have

 

·         Experience from HW design

·         Experience of programming in C#

·         Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, PMBus

·         Experience from building SW architectures

·         Experience from working according to Scrum and Agile methods

 

You have an analytical approach, a strong drive for results and customer focus. You have good communication and co-operation skills and the ability to take the initiative and adapt to new methods and techniques. Most of all you have an inquisitive mind, and a thirst for knowledge.
