Within Business Area Digital Services, Product Development Unit Converged Core (PDU CC) is responsible to develop IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) which are critical products in Ericsson’s Voice Over LTE and Multimedia telephony solution. Moving to LTE and 5G, the number of customers and active subscribers using IMS is growing rapidly.
In Environment Evolution (EE) within PDU CC, we are looking for a new member to join us.
PDU CC has operations in several geographical locations such as Jorvas, Montreal, Shanghai, Bangalore, Budapest and Kista. The position is in Kista with all the PDU sites as the normal field of operations.
We are looking for an energetic developer who is interested in all aspects of software development and who also has Linux system admin expertise. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of programming languages with some knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
The chosen candidate will work on evolving the environment used for development and testing which impacts the whole PDU’s ways of working. The work spans across many areas such as: GIT, build systems, software quality tools, product and design environment handling and more. You will be an interface to Engineering Services (ES) on behalf of IMS lab users and PDU stakeholders regarding questions, issues and escalations. As a member of the core E3 EST team, it is crucial that you are a genuine team player with a positive attitude.
- 3 or more years of professional experience in relevant area
- Broad Linux skills including systems administration
- Script languages (shell, perl, python) and programming languages (Java, C++,..)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git/gerrit)
- Good communications skills
- Strong drive and highly motivated
- Working with people and networking
- Some experience of continuous integration & test tools.
- Innovating, adapting and responding to change
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- A good understanding & knowledge of Telecommunications Networks
- B.Sc. or M. Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
