JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Small Cell Customer Project Manager (CPM) you will be one of the key representatives for Ericsson managing our customers indoor business needs across a wide range of Ericsson services. You will be involved in the pre-sales process, writing and negotiating statements of work with our customers to contractually cover project scope, project and program planning, risk assessment, secure the necessary resources, monitor, and execute all activities while controlling project costs and scope. The Senior CPM is accountable for all project and program financial management including customer invoicing and delivering to the expected profit margin for the business.

 

ROLE:

The Customer Project Manager (CPM) has ownership of multiple projects and/or large complex programs within scope, time, costs and quality while achieving full customer satisfaction.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Customer Project Manager is accountable for all activities in the Ericsson project model. This includes direct and constant communication with our customers and potential their customers / Land lords. The Senior CPM is responsible for monitoring and controlling project/program progress and deliveries and focusing on the needs and priorities of the customer and other important project stakeholders. This would include creating and maintaining master program schedule of all projects within the program at a sufficient level of detail to manage and track project progress. The Senior CPM conducts project governance both internally and with our customers. The Senior CPM has early involvement in sales and planning phase of the sales process activities including cost estimation, development of the initial project timeline, writing and negotiating statements of work, resource planning and risk assessment. Through their business and financial knowledge, the Senior CPM is responsible for monitoring and controlling all project financials in SAP and Clarity, establishing detailed planning and tracking to enable project stakeholders and sponsors to have clear visibility of project status and financial results. The Senior CPM is responsible for risk management throughout the program. The projects supported will include some or all of the following: Ericsson products, Third Party Partner products, custom development based on customer requirements, therefore requiring deep Small Cell product/solution/services portfolio knowledge. The Senior CPM also supports the operation organization’s KPIs and business targets including identification of additional business opportunities and driving incremental sales with our customers.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of proven project management success, preferably working with telecommunication and/or IT technology and customers in the DAS / Small Cell / IBS space. Excellent technical understanding and project experience with many different venue types and technologies. This includes deployment DAS, Small Cell, PICO, MICRO, and WIFI systems. A Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are paramount.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a IT, Engineering, Business or Telecommunications discipline
  • PMP certification and PgMP certifications heavily preferred
  • Minimum 5 years, preferably 8-10 years of experience in project/program management with proven track record of strong team leadership in the Small Cell / IBS area.
  • Highly developed working knowledge of tools used in this in this space.
  • Strong financial knowledge. Has successfully managed budgets in excess of $25M USD for external customers accountable to deliver to a specified profit margin
  • Exceptional external customer management
  • Management experience of subcontractors and Third Party Partners
  • Knowledge of iBwave Design Tools
  • Knowledge of Anritsu Cable Testing
  • OEM Products (Corning Mobile Access ;CommScope ; TEKO, Bi-directional amplifiers/repeaters)
  • Fiber products and testing
  • Data collection software (TEMS;MCEM)
  • Construction Knowledge of Building Structures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Customer In Building Standards (ATT ASG, VZW, Sprint)
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of any specific equipment and/or materials used in the performance of the essential functions of the job: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, PROPS-C, SAP, ConceptWave, and Clarity.
