We are looking for a passionate leader and Engineering Manager who cares about well-crafted software and building a great environment for the people that build it.
 
We at the Baseband Infrastructure (BBI) sector provides the platform to all Ericsson Radio Access Baseband applications 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. It consists of an operating system kernel, boot, communication and observability services as well as a tools suite (code editor, debugger, compiler, build system, test framework and trace functions) tailored to the Ericsson proprietary hardware EMCA (Ericsson Many Core Architecture).
 
The organization is growing, and we are looking for a Section Manager to Lund. Main focus for your teams will be the tools set for the EMCA SW developers. We are at the same time recruiting developers, so you will have a possibility to build a very strong team from the bottom up.
You will be an important part of the Baseband Infrastructure LT-team, committed to coach and develop strong, highly competent, result and customer focused teams and employees and enabling possibilities for them to succeed. You will also be expected to take a holistic view for the completeness of Baseband Infrastructure. Leading in the BBI area requires close collaboration with HW development and the baseband community as well as the open source community.
 
 Responsibilities & Tasks
- Define and lead business and organizational strategies, follow up and act on these to improve
- To create an environment that empowers and motivates people and teams through coaching and energy, clear expectations and support
- To manage delegated product responsibility in all aspects: quality, design, functionality, maintainability, characteristics.
- Communicate the departments and company’s goals and strategies to the organization including change management
- Individual performance management of employees
- Handle staffing of the organization
 
Qualifications
- Strong personal drive and courageous and eager to contribute where and when possible, both inside and outside your formal framework of responsibilities
- Extensive SW development experience and interest, including Agile practices
- Strong technical background in related areas
- Strong transparent communicator
- Master of Science or corresponding University studies and a recent successful track record in R&D Line Management of SW Development
 
Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Experience from ASIC development
- Experience of Open Source development
- Experience from SW development using partners
