PDU Radio Maintenance Lead  

PDU Radio Operations & Programs are expanding and we are going through an exciting transformation of our programs. We are looking for a senior manager with strong Radio & Leadership experience who can take on the challenge to lead and evolve the work within Radio Maintenance.


The Project Office within PDU Radio is responsible for development of all Ericsson Radio Products. We are increasing our efforts to improve the E2E flow and are now searching for a Leader to evolve for our Global Radio Maintenance. You will lead a team of senior project managers managing a global team of approximately 200-300 designers.


What do we expect from you as a Maintenance Lead?

As a Maintenance Lead you will be responsible for improving yields and reduce return rates on units in field and secure a fast flow for solving of customer related trouble reports. You will organize, structure and govern all the work within our Global Maintenance organization. You will manage long term capability & flow improvements, handle our 200 MSEK maintenance budget as well as run the daily operations.


Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Governs and coordinates all maintenance activities within PDU Radio
  • Sets frames, targets and directives for local maintenance/support teams
  • Responsible for the PDU:s maintenance strategy (approval by PDU LT)
  • Defining targets for internal/external HC/costs for maintenance
  • Decisions on maintenance localization
  • Responsible for overall maintenance planning incl. use of suppliers
  • Proactive work to improve factory yields and reduce return rates on units in field
  • Responsible for steering maintenance support efforts towards suppliers
  • Main interface to Product Line in Maintenance
  • Drive & Coach Technology Leadership
  • Develop Teams, Individuals and Organizations
  • Drive & Coach Continuous Improvements
  • Drive & Coach Innovation
  • Coach & Drive Knowledge Sharing and Learning 

What kind of Leadership are we looking for?

As a leader for our Maintenance program you need to have a passion to improve the situation for our customers, to improve the flow as well as a strong technical interest. It is a complex environment, so you need to have an excellent ability to manage different stakeholders, involve and engage with your global teams, as well as to create structure and to prioritize. We put high emphasis on your personality. We expect a very senior leader, with good networking and leadership skills, who is self-driven, pragmatic & result oriented.


We are searching for a leader with a strong leadership background and we believe that you today are working as a program manager on a Senior or Master level or as a line manager in a similar position. Preferably you have experience from both Software and Hardware development.


Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
  • Experience from industrialization of complex technical hardware products
  • Experience from Radio development
  • Experience from both Software and HW development is preferred
  • Flow, Agile and Lean knowledge & skills
