Currently we are looking for a Logistics Manager for our office in Rijen.
What You’ll be Doing
The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing our vendors, who are running our spare part management operations. Ericsson is yearly delivering more than 1 Million spare parts towards our customers. The logistics of this global operations for storing the spare parts, shipping to our customers, and managing the reverse logistics is outsourced towards Logistic Service Providers. These vendors need to be closely managed by the Logistics Manager on spend, performance and contractual fulfillment. Secondly, it is the role of Logistics Management to optimize and reengineer our supply chain into an agile network to enable increased flexibility, get closer towards our customers and optimize our cost base. In this role the Logistics Manager participates and runs global Supply Chain projects. You will work closely with operational departments, with the global team in other regions (APAC and America) and Business & Finance management. In this role you will report to the Global Manager Logistics Management. Furthermore, you will be responsible for:
- Continuous focus on and driver of cost savings-initiatives
- Initiate & secure commercial and sourcing gains/opportunities
- Be the business driver in all tenders
- Realize efficiency gains and improve processes with the Services delivered
- IS/IT focus: Initiate and secure IS/IT optimizations
- Build and maintain a professional relationship with our service provider(s) on Operational, Tactical and Strategic level. You are on top of the operation as well as driving tactical and strategic business issues
- Ensure that the right data of the supply chain (financial and operational) is available that can support business decisions
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics. Additionally, you will need at least 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain & Supply Process Knowledge in an international environment. You have experience with working in logistics projects on a global scale and have experience in contract management. Futhermore you have experience on the following topics:
- Warehousing and transportation (Road and Freight/Air, Courier)
- Redesign of warehouse processes
- Tendering processes
- Large change projects
- Customer implementations
