1. Objective of the Job

Implement Core Packet Switch and IP network equipment configurations on Ericsson M2M platform, according to specific customer requirements.

Offer technical support and guidance for O&M engineers.

Support test, acceptance and fault management activities.


2. Responsabilities

Manage the core packet and IP network implementation requests coming from the M2M customers.

Prepare, check and execute network configuration files.

Give technical support to sales, marketing, project managers and the customer, including pre-sales activities that can control and supervise the core network implementation.

Change management activities, provisioning and parameterization activities, activation/deactivation of system functionalities, deployment, re-homing, end-to-end testing, software upgrade and remote data fill according to R&D solutions.

Involve in the system/function verification and support activities.

Analyze the risk and impact of new service element integration.

Provide remote support and troubleshooting for the M2M customers for PS and IP related activities.

Guide trainees by on-job training, job aids and workshops.


3. Competence Profile

At least 1 year working experience in the core packet 3G,  IMS and IP network implementation area.

Take initiatives and make decisions.

Collect, check and execute all necessary network information to achieve the assigned tasks.


4. Detailed Technical Competence

Operate core packet and IP network implementation.

Identify and solve defined/undefined problems utilizing existing procedures/techniques/methods.

Supervise the core packet switch and IP network implementation technician.

Prepare and update documentation according to specific requirements.

Should have experience on the Ericsson products listed below:



- Ericsson IP Works: AAA, DNS

Good IP knowledge (TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, BGP)

It is considered a plus to have CCNA and CCNP certifications.

Protocol Stack knowledge (SS7, SIGTRAN) is a plus

Should have experience in operating Cisco, Juniper, SmartEdge equipment.

5. Education

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or equivalent with minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience.


6. Language

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Additional language skills a plus.
