Job Description

Date: Nov 8, 2018

Job Summary:

With the introduction of 5G, the maximum bit-rate can be substantially increased and the latency is lower compared to LTE. Congestion Control is one means to mitigate that packet queues build up at network nodes.

The scope of this Master Thesis work is to develop a congestion control algorithm based on Artificial Intelligent (AI) technologies, evaluate and compare it with already existing state of the art congestion control algorithms that are used with e.g. TCP today.

Key Qualifications:

You should be an MSc student, preferably in engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science or similar. Courses in wireless communication theory and signal processing as well as experiences of communication systems and internet protocols are considered valuable merits.
Existing Java and Matlab based system simulator will be modified and used for tests and evaluations, which means that the thesis work requires good Java and Python programming as well as Machine learning such as scikit-learn and deep learning skills such as Tensorflow and Keras.
