Job Summary:
Radio PDU strives to be the most competitive Radio Network R&D unit in the industry. We work in an agile set up to develop and maintain competitive, high-quality Radio products which give our customer solutions securing future growth. We develop LTE, WCDMA, GSM, CDMA and now also 5G Network solutions to operators all over the world.

Radio software is part of the Product Development Unit Radio within Development Unit Networks (DNEW). We are based in Stockholm (Kista).

 

For radio near algorithms we are now looking for a Lead developer/Technical Coordinator providing technical leadership and coordination. This role has a main focus in pre-development and development of software defined radios.
 
Your role will include responsibility for leading pre-development activities and leading the algorithm teams (~20 persons) with main focus on soft DFE (digital front-end) but also development of new algorithms. Some of your tasks, among others, will be to define tasks, plan, coordinate and follow up the teams work, align with stakeholders and guide the teams in developing re-usable software and tools. Soft DFE is a new area so you will be part of defining how we work and should enjoy the challenge that freedom gives.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead algorithm pre-development activities including SW and HW
  • Lead development of tools used for algorithm development like simulators implemented in matlab
  • Lead implementation of user plane architecture for soft DFE based radios
  • Support product owner in breaking down and prioritizing the backlog
  • Be part of defining ways of working in a global development environment

 

Qualifications

  • M.Sc, B.Sc. or above
  • Previous experience in leading soft- and/or hardware development teams
  • Experience in defining ways of working for new areas
  • Proficiency in C
  • Proficient in DSP algorithm implementation
  • Experience in assembler for vector signal processors
  • Experience in DSP platforms
  • Quality and efficiency minded, analytical thinking
  • Experienced of one or more of the following tools:
    • Matlab/Simulink
    • C/C++ on DSP
    • FPGA specified tools, like system generator/etc
  • Good communication in English
  • Creative, proactive, with passion to win.
  • Familiar with radio/digital HW design is a strong plus
  • Experience with FPGA implementation is a strong plus
