Job Summary

This position is sits within a highly experienced globally team at Ericsson. You will be working on the very cutting edge of technology (5G, IOT, ML, VoLTE etc) and be involved with these projects in many diverse global locations. You will be seen as an SME in this role who will be the go-to person for Design and Optimisation.


Responsibilities & Tasks


  • Working with network solutions on latest technologies in RAN space, considering E2E impacts.
  • Design  network solutions that are scalable, robust and cost effective that will fulfil operators’ technical and business requirements
  • Contribute to/drive network optimization programs for large networks with the latest communication technologies
  • Supporting product and delivery teams to ensure designed solutions are developed and deployed effectively to meet objectives
  • Cooperating with Ericsson product units on establishing customer network solutions
  • Engaging business stakeholders in understanding potential technologies capabilities
  • Managing customer expectations that will ensure implementation of customer solutions within agreed time, scope and cost. Involved/driving network transformation programs for major telecom operators globally
  • Working under tight time schedules


Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:


The successful applicant must have a blend of skills required to contribute to the Radio Network Consulting team in pre-sales and delivery processes, use of consulting methodology and development of the technical depth of expertise across a team of people;


  • Advanced RAN (radio access network) Design and optimisation experience (SME level)
  • Ability to travel globally up to 80% of the time (project dependant)
  • The candidate should have relevant tertiary qualification - Degree of Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications.
  • The following specific technology skills are required for this position.
    • LTE and WCDMA Design and optimisation experience; preferably 5G and Ericsson experience.
    • Dimensioning and capacity planning.
    • Experienced in using the following radio network design and optimisation tools of minimum experience of a year.
  1. Dimensioning Tools like RNPT
  2. Cell Planning Tools like Mentum Planet
  3. Drive test tools like TEMS Investigation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and high concern for quality is required
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and initiative
  • Innovation and proactive attitude
  • Developing Others & Knowledge Sharing.
  • Experience in pricing and preparation of service proposal
