Experienced System Designer 5G RAN
We are now looking for Experienced System Designers for 5G RAN.

At RAN System Management, Ericsson’s 5G Visions are turned in to reality. We are increasing our efforts to bring 5G to the global market and to support this we are looking for additional Experienced System Designers.
At RAN System Management our main task is to specify the wanted behavior of the new 5G networks that will be used in the years to come. We engage with customers and partners internally and externally to understand the business needs and market opportunities and based on this drive product development. Global system solutions are important to us as it opens up markets and reduce cost for the society. To achieve this we work with standardization in 3GPP and similar fora.
Our contribution in the product development starts already in the early phases where we run studies to set the wanted system behavior. In order to understand that the networks behave as we want we develop and use simulators to optimize signal processing algorithms and more but we also collect and analyze data from live customer networks, perform troubleshooting and other market support activities.
Important technical areas are radio resource management, scalable system architecture, advanced antenna systems, massive MIMO, beamforming, cloud computing, machine learning, data analytics and many others.
RAN System Management is a global organization with units based in Sweden, Canada, Poland, Korea and China. This position is based in Lund, Sweden.

PhD or MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
More than 5 years of work experience in relevant areas
Good knowledge of 4G LTE mobile communication systems and/or other IP based wireless technologies
Telecom business understanding to be able to interpret customer needs
Product development knowledge preferably with an understanding of Lean and Agile methods
Software development skills
Commitment, self-drive and a good ability to cooperate with others
Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
