A world class Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Deployment (CD) machinery using state-of-the-art technology is one of the key enablers for more frequent deliveries with higher product quality to our customers. With an increasing RAN solution complexity with regards to number of different nodes (both traditional nodes and cloud nodes) combined with the ambition to deploy the software in customer networks in a much higher pace than today it is essential to use integration driven development so that SW developers can get faster and more accurate feedback on their code commits.

The architecture and evolvement of the specific Continuous Integration Tools, as well as how to deploy these seamlessly in the intrinsically complicated legacy CI machinery, is key for the evolvement of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment machinery.

The Continuous Integration tools are deployed in a number of existing CI flows that need to be developed and maintained (e.g. 5G Node CI, TN module CI, Radio SW module CI, BBI module CI).
